Jenny Anderson
My name is Jenny. I am 18 years old and I’m a first year trainee Veterinary Nurse here at Church House Veterinary Clinic.
I started here as a work experience student two years ago for a period of two weeks. Keen to get my foot in the door I begun employment at the practice as a cleaner in the evenings. My enthusiasm to learn sparked my employment to begin my Veterinary Nurse training in September 2003.
I really love being a Veterinary Nurse purely because I’m passionate about all animals (especially Labradors!). I love to take care of them when they are feeling poorly, and try to make their stay here as pleasant as possible, showing them that coming to the vets is not as scary as it seems!
At home I have my own dog called Rufus, who’s a 7 and a half year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Otherwise known as a walking piece of carpet because he’s so fluffy! He’s extremely friendly and cuddly, and if you give him a treat I promise he will remember you and you will have a friend for life.
Outside of work, I love to go out and socialise with my friends and my boyfriend. We enjoy going to pubs, clubs, the cinema…everywhere! In the occasional time that I spend at home, I really enjoy oil painting and cross-stitching, and of course, playing with my wonderful Rufus.
